I entered in Museum of Contemporary Art as disturbing sounds were heard. Huge crowd. People all around the World came to see “The Cleaner.” I was one of them, but It was easy for me to come because the exhibition is in my home town.
Marina Abramović presented her path. From from the begging to the present. From an artist that started as painter till the founder of The Performance Art.
A lot of feelings. Sadness, anger, aggression..
Dark and hard. She experimented with paper, crystals and herself. She gave the power to the audience to harm her, hurt her, hit her, love her-she used her body as an instrument. Marina is art.
She was breaking down the boundaries of pain, fear, suffering.
She peeled off her soul and gave it to the audience at the plate.
While walking and watching all the performances that Marina ever done, whole her life was there- at this exhibition.
As an observer, I felt fear. Fear of an vulnerable person. I could hear her screaming, crying and suffering. Naked, real, authentic.
Through the walls of MOCaB I tried her crystal shoes, I sit with a stranger in silence, I saw the knifes she used in the performance where she gave the power to the audience to do with her body whatever they want. I heard her scream, saw her tears, felt her fear, felt her energy.
Very intensive and deep.
Marina’s courage scared me.
